Dave Watterson, Normal, IL—Driving my 1972 MGB in the 2017 ISU Homecoming Parade
Steve Runyan, Heyworth, IL- 1952 MG TD. Previously my Dad’s car, it has been in our family since 1988. I’ve had it since 2012. This is my 3rd British car. All have been great fun.

Leonard and Mary Lee of Heyworth purchased their 1962 Sunbeam Alpine in the summer of 2014 as an eBay purchase and came from New York

Leonard and Mary Lee of Heyworth purchased their 1972 MG Midget in January 2017 from a local owner.
Brian and Jane Kinney-Our car is a 1961 Triumph TR3A. It was first imported and purchased in Kansas City Mo. It was then shipped to Hawaii by the original owner where it was purchased by my father in 1963 for my mother on her birthday. My father was a USAF pilot so the car was moved and shipped several times in the first 20 years of its life. It was placed in storage for 7 years while we were stationed overseas. In 1975 I learned to drive in Moms "little red car" and in 1976 I took my 1st driving test in it. I drove the car during my junior and senior years in high school. In 1979 my father retired and took the car to South Carolina. Eight years ago my parents were in the process of downsizing and I became the steward of the family car. It received a re-spray about 15 years ago, other than that, just maintenance. Owning the TR has been a privilege and a learning experience. My favorite day with the car is when my youngest daughter used it in her wedding. Many people ask, "How do you fit in there?" My reply is always the same: Perfectly.

Allen Hixon, 1953 MG-TD MK II, My MG was built 11/26/1952 and “dispatched to the USA in early December, arriving in 1953. The first 30 years of life were spent with the Fred Irvin family living in San Carlos, CA. just outside San Francisco. In 1982 the car was restored by O’Connor Classic Autos (Mike O’Connor restorations) in Santa Clara, CA. Some five years ago, I purchased the car from the John Kasman family in Chicago, the second owners. The car is today as it was manufactured. And, everything works. It’s been thoroughly researched and listed in the “T Register”, Abington, Oxfordshire, UK. It carries the register number of 12,191.

Terry and Kathy Tate - Here is our 1974 1/2 Triumph TR6. It is considered a mid-year production car having some changes that occurred in 1975 model such as the rubber bumper overriders and turn indicators below the bumper instead of above. The color is Mimosa. The grandkids refer to it as Bumblebee. It had about 46,000 miles on it when we purchased it in 2012. We found it in Ohio, bought it and drove it the 400+ miles home.

Alan and Terri Kleinschmidt – Terri and I bought this car in the fall of 2008 for the sum of $800. Black Betty is a 1980 MGB LE. She had not run in 17 years and was stored in a garage in Normal. Since then we have accrued over 60,000 miles on the car with trips to NAMGBR events in Canada for 2010 and 2015, Dillard GA in 2012, and French Lick IN in 2014. Black Betty reached a milestone this summer by surpassing the 100,000 mile mark and is now a member of the NAMGBR 100,000 mile Registry. We are in the initial planning stage for a trip to MG 2017 in San Diego California. Black Betty loves the open highway!
Alan & Terri Kleinschmidt - We bought this car in the Fall of 2012 as a retirement project for myself. It is a 1960 MGA. I had originally planned to just get it running, but one thing led to another and before I knew it, I was completely redoing the car. Everything, other than the engine, was done at home in my garage. I spent 21 months and right at 900 hours to complete the car. I really enjoyed rebuilding this car and driving it now always puts a big smile on my face.

Rudolf G. Mortimer, PhD (Owner) A 1997 Jaguar XK8 coupe and a 1978 Rolls Royce Corniche drop-head coupe. I have owned the Jaguar about 7 years and the Rolls about 12 years. The Jag has about 145K miles and the Rolls about 78K. Both are running well and driven often. That is, when I am not driving my 1979 MGB convertible, which is a lot of fun. Rudi Mortimer

1976 MGB (Sunshine Yellow) we have owned the car since 1993. The paint job was done that year, and has held up very well. It has been a fun ride, now that we are down in central Florida, it is driven every day. Winter's down here are just a good excuse to go for a ride, and explore, there are car shows here literally every weekend, within 100 miles of us, all year round!

Larry Philyaw - The XK140 is a 1956 survivor I found at an estate sale in a small town in PA. It was repainted in 1974 and interior refreshed, but otherwise is original. Also a great driver, I plan to do a "rolling" restoration over the next couple of years.

Larry Philyaw - The XJS is a 1990 V12 automatic, with just one owner before me, and in excellent original condition. It doesn't get driven much any more since the MK2 and XK140 were aquired.
