Since 1997 the CMGC swap meet has been held at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton, Illinois in early spring. The site is an indoor heated facility that is centrally located approximately 30 miles due west of downtown Chicago. There will be a food vendor on site and an ATM in the building. This coming year, the Swap Meet will be held on March 26, 2023 https://www.chicagolandmgclub.com/swapmeet/ This meet originally focused on British vehicles but is now intended for all marques of sports cars: American, Asian, and European. This is not a car show. Our goal is to provide a meeting place for buyers and sellers of used parts, new parts, accessory items, tools, memorabilia, services and just about anything else of interest to the sports car enthusiast. To get to the swap meet, start at Roosevelt Road (IL-8) and either IL-59 or IL-53. From IL-59 go east on IL-38, 2.9 miles to County Farm Road. Or from IL-53 go west on IL-38, 4.8 miles to County Farm Road. This intersection has a traffic light and McDonalds and Burger King restaurants. Go north on County Farm Road 0.4 miles to the first traffic light. Turn right (east) on Manchester Road and proceed 0.5 miles to the entrance. Gate Admission tickets will be $5. Kids 12 and under (accompanied by an adult) are still free. As always, parking is free. Nearby lodging is available for out of town visitors. You and your British Motorcar or Motorcycle are invited to join us for the 35th annual Indy British Motor Day presented by TBD! This year’s celebration of British Automobiles will highlight MINI as its featured marque. Awards include Best of Show, Best in Class, Excellence in Class, and specialty trophies. Classes are by Marque and Model, with 4 pre-registered cars needed to create a voting class. Additional classes include Masters (winners from last year’s show), Featured Marque, and Motorcycles. Location: The show will be held at Lion’s Park in Zionsville, just one block from Main St. on Sycamore street.
